All students, regardless of major, are encouraged to explore and audition for one (or more) of the many fine arts and performing arts opportunities on campus.
Whether you’re interested in theatre, showcasing your art, playing in a musical ensemble, singing, or being a part of the crew that makes it all happen, you’re invited to get involved!
You’ll create lasting memories and discover something new about yourself alongside others who share your passion for artistic expression and performing.
At WLC, students are welcome to audition or join our musical ensembles, regardless of major.
Concert Band is an ensemble that performs the finest of the wind band literature and presents concerts in WLC's Schwan Concert Hall and tours regionally and nationally. Membership is through a seating audition.
The Wisconsin Lutheran Choir performs four concerts in the WLC Schwan Concert Hall each year, provides music for worship services in local WELS congregations, and embarks on an annual spring concert tour. Membership is this select ensemble is by audition only.
Work with a creative team of storytellers to build a production from text to live performance. Immerse yourself in a collaboratively artistic community where you can explore and develop your theatrical skills through the instruction of knowledgeable, experienced faculty and staff. You can find your place in the theatre — on the stage and/or behind the scenes!
Showcase your artistic talents in the Schlueter Art Gallery. The gallery hosts exhibitions throughout the year, with several opportunities for students to display their works in juried art exhibitions. Works are frequently offered for sale.
Students may accompany the choirs and band, play the Schlicker pipe organ during chapel, or accompany other students during recitals.
Our Center for Arts and Performance is bustling with activity, and you may have an opportunity to attend any of our student performances for free. Tickets subject to availability.
High school students who have submitted an application to WLC can contact their admissions counselor for free tickets to our student musical performances and theatre productions. Students may also request a ticket to attend a performance by the Philomusica String Quartet, our resident string quartet.
